Cedarville Cemetery is located on Route 6A at Ploughed Neck Road. According to Sandwich Vital Records the oldest burial was for Patty Hall in 1806. Local historian John Cullity says the Hall family, who lived on Ploughed Neck, probably had a lot to do with establishing the burial ground though the Nye family, along with others, were surely involved. The town took over control in 1976.
Per Historical Commission member David Schrader the Cedarville burying ground is historic in many respects. Some of Sandwich’s Revolutionary War veterans are buried there.
