Planned Sandwich Cemetery Work Hits Snag

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office has determined the long planned project to restore parts of Cedarville Cemetery off Route 6A cannot proceed as delineated by the town and as planned by the Sandwich Historical Commission.

Sandwich Assistant Town Manager Douglas Lapp had devised a formal request for proposals (RFP) to restore the burial ground in East Sandwich along the lines of what was accomplished two years ago — with no difficulties — at the Old Town Burial Ground off Grove Street.
